Your booth turned into a videogame room

All of us geeks have dreamed at some point of having our own space dedicated exclusively to videogames, either for ourselves or for our children. In this post, we will explain how you can prepare your shed to become your perfect gamer hideout.

Before we start, we would like to point out that the tips you will find below can be put into practice, regardless of the material your booth is made of, so… let’s get to work!

Planning and preparation: First of all, we recommend that it is a spacious kennel, so that the temperature can be better maintained and it is more comfortable to play in.

Location: It is important that the garden shed is located close to a power socket, as this will be essential to ensure that it fits better and that there are no cables in the way. If this is not possible, we recommend a roll-up extension cord so that it is as neat and tidy as possible.

Lighting: During the day, if your kennel has a skylight, it will enjoy natural light that will not create reflections on the screen. At night, we recommend using LED strips which, depending on the brand and model, can be tuned to the device used to make the experience super immersive. In case we don’t like natural daylight, it would be as simple as putting some small curtains on the windows or the skylight if you have one.

Decoration: To decorate the garden shed, we recommend putting inside posters and furniture that is functional for the needs of the device we use.

Temperature regulation: The size of the garden shed will influence the temperature, so we recommend garden sheds of at least 5-6 m2. An extra can be the incorporation of a fan to guarantee a low temperature in the environment.

Advantages: A video game booth is always a good idea, as it keeps us out of the building and therefore away from the rooms of our family or partner. This way if we play late or raise our voices we do not disturb anyone.
