At Hoggar we are truly committed to the environment, because we are aware that we only we only have this planet to live on and we must take care of it both for ourselves and for future generations.

For this reason, we are determined to minimize the ecological debt of all the people who are part of the Hoggar family. And what is this ecological debt?

This term means that our consumption of natural resources exceeds the planet’s capacity to generate them. There are currently studies that confirm that our consumption rate is so high that we would need 1.8 Earths to meet our demand.

For this reason, at Hoggar we have decided to implement the 6 commandments to be eco-friendly and thus promote good environmental practices from within the company itself. Pay attention!

ecofriendly

1. I will always recycle

Throwing a plastic container in the yellow bin or a piece of paper in the paper bin helps the environment, which is why we have recycling bins throughout the company.

2. I will not waste water

Small gestures such as not having the tap running while brushing our teeth help us not to waste such a precious commodity. It is also important to control the water when rinsing dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.

3. I will eliminate the use of plastic

When we start our journey at Hoggar, we are equipped with a glass bottle that is perfect for having water available in a reusable container. In this way we will avoid the use of plastics which are harmful both to our health if used too often and to the planet. The same goes for the use of tupperware, so we replace the plastic ones with glass ones.

4. I will be responsible in the use of paper

We must take care of the forests and therefore before pressing the print button we must stop to think if it is really necessary. Sometimes the digital version is more than enough.

We should also make responsible use of hand paper and use only the paper that is strictly necessary. Our forests will be grateful.

5. I will save electricity

It may seem an unimportant thing, but leaving the computer on standby generates an unnecessary expense and can also damage the useful life of our equipment.

Responsible use of air-conditioning or heating appliances will be key to saving energy, as these types of appliances consume a lot of energy.

6. I will share transport

It’s no secret that cars pollute a lot, so carpooling is a great option for both the Earth and our pockets.

Now that you know our commandments, we want to encourage you to start implementing them in your daily life at Hoggar. Thank you for joining the eco-friendly team!
